  I had such hopes for Pelo - I've seen people coming out with hair looking good and what reviews there were online were limited but positive. So I arrived for my appointment, with the receptionist on the phone. The call - definitely personal not professional - continued, and continued. Not even an attempt to make eye contact and mouth the 'be with you in a minute' usual way of handling this. But this conversation was clearly much to important, and rivetting though I found it to listen to her guessing game with the person on the other end of the line 'go on give me his initials' and so on and so on, the impression was completely non-professional. The call finished, still no recognition that I'd arrived. A request from the receptionist ot one of the stylists was boomed across the room - no quietly leaving the front desk and having a word here! Watching this - and still not acknowledged - I can't quite make out why they would have a receptionist. Acknowledging people as they arrive and - yes cutting short personal calls - is not rocket science, it's simple, and the very basics of how a professional outfit and how they greet clients. After nearly 15 minutes and sitting in bemused incredulity, I got up and walked out. I don't think they even noticed. I can't give any stars for the haircut that didn't happen. One star for sheer audacity that they think this is ok in 2017.
